Kobi has been singing as long as she has been talking and her gift as a songbird is just one of her many talents.
Born and raised in Townsville, Kobi started learning the violin when she was six and when she got to highschool she began singing lessons and taught herself to play Viola.
Kobi also excelled at drama and fell in love with musical theatre. ‘I became fanatically obsessed with the likes of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Gershwin, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim,’ says Kobi. ‘Anything related to musical theatre, I loved it. Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe posters adorned my walls, my books, my bed, everything.’

Kobi decided at a young age that she had so many things that she wanted to do in mher life, but maybe not enough time to do them all, it was then that she decided to persue a career as an actor then she could pretend to do them all.
‘When I was 15 I was living in Brisbane and I had a screen test with a casting director who loved me and insisted I audition for a role in a short film. I went along and sat in the waiting room with about 20 other girls – all blonde and skinny. "Why the heck am I here?" I thought. I thought there was no way I would get the part with all these gorgeous girls auditioning. Somehow, I got one of the two female leads. And it was one of the best experiences I’ve had so far.
